Future Developments...

As part of our ongoing commitment to continuously improve our schools, we need to ensure sufficient levels of funding are available to support the Trust. During the past few months we have been investigating commercial partnerships, which could potentially provide significant ongoing revenue streams within an educational context.

We have identified and secured a number of outstanding opportunities, all of which offer significant revenue potential whilst maintaining our commitment to stay at the cutting-edge of education and leadership development.

Children’s and Youth University...

We are also now registered to deliver Children’s and Youth University programmes to ensure that all out-of-school activity is formally recorded, in order that students are accredited for the work they engage in outside of the school day.

LTP Programme...

The Learning Together Partnership and LJMU have developed a ground breaking programme aimed at the wider children’s workforce. They will work together in partnership with the Trust to deliver this programme. This newly established course of study provides access to a unique training and development opportunity for school based staff, encouraging a range of practitioners who will make up the future wider children’s workforce to work together to share good practice and develop a greater professional skill set.

Fiveways Trading Ltd...

The Trust has established a trading arm to generate income through commercial activity to directly fund the charity, in addition to grant funding and charitable donations.

Urban Leadership Centre...

Since securing the northwest franchise of the Urban Leadership Centre, the Trust has held six development days in February, July and October at Lace Conference Centre. Senior colleagues took part in a rigorous assessment day where skills and attributes were examined through a variety of challenging group and individual activities. Each participant is then provided with a report detailing his or her professional leadership profile. A follow-up coaching session is also available helping delegates to identify the next steps in their career or management path.

"What an amazing day! I haven't been that challenged since University. I now have a clear understanding of the areas I need to develop and also a profile of my strengths for future employers. Thank you." (M. Pearson)

Other products available from the Urban Leadership Centre include:

  • Primary Head teacher Development Centres
  • Awareness Raising - A one day course to help understand the strands of Urban Leadership
  • PULSE - A strategy toolkit for schools
  • Newly Appointed Heads - A support programme for newly appointed Heads helping them to identify leadership strengths and development needs
